I tested two version L2 clients - Interlude and Grand Crusade.
With Interlude all works perfect.
With Grand Crusade textures are missing

Anyone know, what was the last version full supported by Umodel?

Does LineageMonstersTex9.utx (and other .utx, e.g. ...Tex7.utx) ever exists in this game?

Yes, and I found partial solution in documentation here:
https://www.gildor.org/smf/index.php/topic,407.0.html
I copied all textures files into animation folder.
Unfortunately, the never version of textures are not fully compatible.

Good, bad, and ugly Wink

Dunno how it will be works with ActorX.
I will test tomorrow

Thank You for your work and great apps

I think you pointer UModel at Animations folder itself. You had point to PARENT folder instead, it would pick everything what's inside.

No, umodel.exe is in parent directory (root of game folder), not in 'animations' directory

But where are .utx files which you've copied then?

Does SysTextures inside of the folder which you pointed at on umodel startup as the game path? In other words, UModel should point at your C:\classic\zaken, and textures should be in C:\classic\zaken\SysTextures. In this case, umodel should correctly locate utx files. If it didn't locate, then this is a bug.

Show me a screenshot of your UModel window, with selecting a package to open/export. I've just simulated "SysTextures" with UT2004, and everything worked fine for me. Probably there was some mistake on your side when you didn't get textures working before.

step 1:

step 2:

step 3:

logs:

The original Grand Crusader installer does not exist, for many years the creator updates the game systematically via online updater. I downloaded today game files from different source, effect still the same.
As I see with GC files umodel "dont see" directories after "system", client is playable:

And game ini (in txt format)

Are all files in SysTextures has .utx extension?

If it's not hard for you, please copy all files with full directory structure somewhere else and try using UModel there. May be files in that folder aren't accessible to umodel?

No, some are .ugx

Game fresh copy moved to Documents in user home directory, umodel run with Administrator privileges - nothing changed

I think we, especially You, are wasting time.
I do not want disturb You anymore.
It is not big deal, I can get animations and extract textures separetly.
I'm only playing with 3d software

I really want thank You for help. You are doing great job for whole community

It is shame, I can't reproduce the issue myself. UModel scans ALL folders recursively, it picks up utx files. Folder won't appear only if UModel doesn't see anything useful inside. This may also happen if files has Unicode characters in their names, but in this case copying files wouldn't help either.

Probably I've fixed the problem. It seems there's a .pak file somewhere under game's path, what switched file scanner to "UE4 mode".
