Hello everyone! I just interested if anybody knows how to extract sounds (Mostly weapon sounds, but would be nice if it will be possible to get music and NPC quotes from the game) from Mass Effect 3. I just not sure if UModel will be support it. Thanks! Smiley

I guess that is the main problem - no body know where this sounds is. Was trying to find them myself without success. I guess they stored in some unknown format.

I assume i was moved forward in this theme. I was looking sound in DLC map, and i find an int.afc like else in cookedPC, and find an SFX.afc.  I exported and converted all sound what was i can and i have some fx but this fx sound like a video... Without video. So this is the edited sounds and musics for some script movie in the game. But actualy i can't find single sound fx Sad
If anybody will know it in the future then please share this information!

we need a program who it write out information what files are opened and where are thease. Like fps viewer. Just we not seeing fps, we see files. Like if I shoot then this program write out this sound name and where are they. and atmosphare, music, every sound. What do you say for this?

PS: Somebody know anything about "*.soundcue" File format? Is there a way to convert or play some program? Becuse Mass effect 1 is use this format for sounds!

SoundCue is just settings for sounds, real sounds are usually stored in the SoundNodeWave object.

Like always, SoundNodeWave objects are extracted with umodel when using "-export -sounds" options.

Cool! Smiley I found *.BioSoundNodeWaveStreamingData Sad and SoundNodeAttenuation. It can't be exported Sad((

I'M stuck. Ideas?  C:\Program Files (x86)\Mass Effect\BioGame\CookedPC\Packages\Audio_Content\VFX. in this folder snd_vfx.upk. and if i export. i will have some maps and in the maps there is SoundNodeAttenuation, soundcue, txt, DistributionFloatUniform and nothing else. I believe it I managed to reach this the nearest to the sounds fx. But i don't how forward :S Ideas?

OMG! My question was not that how can i convert afc to ogg. My qouestion was WHERE is the sound fx files? And becuse nobody know what afc have the sound FX like Biotic sound, then i was seen the some strange format in mass effect 1 But i belive that is the sound fx files, just i don't know how convert or extract from a playable format. This Biosoundnodeattitude or something files. Or maybe that is not the sound. but where are they? Mass effect 1,2,3 doesn't matter. Just i want the sound fx Cry

For those who wanted the SFX - i've just updated my afc2ogg tool so it can now extract audio files also from .pcc files - download it again from http://kypapps.co.cc/index.php/afc2ogg.

The new version uses Gildor's 'Unreal Package Decompressor' for decompressing the .pcc files, so thank you for that gildor.
I hope you don't mind me including it with my tool?

The SFX for weapons are in SFXWeapon[weaponname].pcc, for powers in SFXPower[powername].pcc etc.
