Hello!

I'm trying to make a Mirror's Edge based map for Garry's Mod but facing an issue with importing the models from the game in Blender.

The UVs are screwed, and there is nothing I can do to repair them.

I've also tried with 3ds MAX 2018 and Maya 2018 and still doesn't work.

Tried importing a model from Unreal Tournament 3 and it works. It's probably Mirror's Edge fault as I saw a forum post on facepunch.com that said the same thing.

Just wondered if there is a fix for it.

Thank you very much!  Smiley

Hi,
Did you try to import these models somewhere else, to confirm if this is Mirror's Edge or Blender Importer issue? I'd also recommend you trying a different importer - check FAQ http://www.gildor.org/projects/umodel/faq (look for word "Blender", there's a topic containing a pair of links to different importers).

Hello again!

First of all, thanks for your reply!

So I tried some other importer for blender with still no luck.  Sad
Also, apparently there is two materials for the door (probably one for the door and one for the lock.):

But what is strange is that the lock doesn't have any UVs:

And here is the door's UV, (which like I said earlier, is messed up):

Also tried using ActorX Import for 3Ds Max and doesn't work too...

First of all you should try in UModel itself. ActorX format just tries to replicate what's seen in UModel to a file. If UModel won't show things correctly, there's nothing to expect from Max or Blender.

Hello again! Thanks for your reply again.

Like an idiot, I forgot to check Umodel to see if the models had correct UV maps and they actually don't! :

Although, this model does have correct UV maps:

Apparently, every Skeletal Meshes have correct UV maps.

Now, I don't know if it's a problem with Umodel or Mirror's Edge...

Sorry for delay in response. I just wanted to say that switching UV sets might help, and glad that you found that by yourself. UModel saves all UVs to psk file. ActorX Importer has possibility to import as many UVs as available, but I can't say anything about Blender importer because it is not my software.

Thanks for your reply!

Just one last thing (I hope.)

How do I change the UV Set?
Is it this?:

If so, it doesn't seem to be doing it correctly (Sorry, I'm usually using Blender not 3ds Max):

I've checked code of this plugin:
https://github.com/Befzz/blender3d_import_psk_psa

I didn't see any possibility to load additional UV sets there, so if you're using it - it won't work.

Sorry, forgot to say that the screenshots I posted earlier are on 3ds Max not Blender because I know that it is not going to work on Blender.

Just checked how UVs are exported from UModel and imported into 3ds Max, with simple model. Everything works fine.

Regarding where to change UV in Max - in material editor
