Game: Dark and Darker (steam page)
UE version:  5.0.3 (previous versions) / 5.1 (current version)
AES key: in the same place as usual (link)

Mostly supported in specific build from this topic with respective override option. Batch export is not recommended, it may crash umodel or produce incorrect results. Disabling materials may also help to avoid some particular crashes.

Please read notes and know issues from this topic for more info.

Update: In versions A5 (alpha 5) and newer beginning of some packages is additionally encrypted. Due to that batch operations will crash on assets from those parts. You can use quickbms script, available in the topic with keys in specific scripts bundle, to fix packages or extract them. For more info read sticked topic and this post.

I to am having some issues, I have the game still stored on an old drive but keep getting fatal errors when exporting despite trying various methods suggested. any way I can get some help providing your still active on this site. I would be very grateful.

thanks for replying! it seems whenever I export I get an error saying Tarray: Index 1 is out of range, do you know any way to fix this? I export 1 at a time and sometimes for larger exports it says memory: bad allocation size.

@Ryan: I just checked and apparently there were not any updates since april playtest. Considering this, first post should be still valid and your issues are probably related to things explained there. Without using quickbms script on packages from base game version (there were two hotfixes, which are not affected), some assets will crash any UE tool, not only umodel, due to additional obfuscation. Also specific umodel build has certain limitations and you need to disable materials for most other things to work with batch operations (materials are disabled by default in recent builds for this reason).

Ive extracted everything properly and into a .uasset format yet cant import directly into unreal. any advice? sorry to bother

I'm having a bit of problem . I downloaded the latest version of the game.
Use quickbms_4gb_files.exe and the specific scripts bundle downloaded from cs.rin.ru.
still can't work. The error is displayed as follows.

Error: incomplete input file -5:
       Can't read 941032002 bytes from offset 0000000000167f50.
       Anyway don't worry, it's possible that the BMS script has been written
       to exit in this way if it's reached the end of the archive so check it
       or contact its author or verify that all the files have been extracted.
       Please check the following coverage information to know if it's ok.

  coverage file -5  100%   1474384    1474384    . offset 0000000000167f50

Last script line before the error or that produced the error:

@yexh: Issues related to encryption and quickbms scripts belongs to rin topic (the one with keys and scripts). You can address such issues there, but please read this post first.

Update: Script is updated with support for current game version.

The steps are as follows.


In the end, I will encounter this error, and there is no need to input the key. How can i fix it?
I'm using the specific build you mentioned.
UE version 5.0 and 5.1 were also tried.

@yexh: This is an old version, which is using 5.0 engine. And on all your screenshots you're using 5.1. Not sure how you've tried 5.0, since it works fine for that old game version.

Animations can be previewed. so the game is not using io store packages (utoc/ucas) , right ?
Why does it say missing Skeleton when I export animation.
help me plz , I would be very grateful.

I select only one animation sequence. not batch.
preview is perfect , "find animation"works fine , only export.

@yexh: You can't export animations in GUI mode like that for UE4 games and above. I suggest to take a look at some umodel tutorials starting from the one in tutorials section, for better understanding how to work with animations and such.
