The game works with the build you linked in the first post. Only the main characters seems to be unable to be loaded (al least, for what i could try) Read edit.
Textures are Virtual so they won't load.
Animations... only cutscenes one are presents, gameplay one are not (see attached screenshot 2, random enemy lacking animations)
There're some some models/animations refered as "old" maybe a first attempt at converting the game~

Edit:
Main characters loads too, disable textures or they'll crash

I went through the posts and related links, and successfully exported the models and textures. However, I couldn't find the animations associated with the character models. I hope colleagues who understand this situation can provide me with an answer. Thank you.

@Yancychao: Ehlyon is mostly explained it in his post above. Only cutscene animations has usual format, which can be somehow previewed or exported. They can be found via animation search (Ctrl+A) for already loaded mesh or manually in flat view mode after scan is performed. The rest of animations are not standard animation sequences in most cases - for example, they have animation data stored in texture objects (really), MovieScene objects and such.

Has anyone been able to open the animations?

Game: NINJA GAIDEN 2 Black(steam pagehttps://store.steampowered.com/app/3287520/NINJA_GAIDEN_2_Black/)
UE5 version: 5.4

It does not require an AES key.
I tried using umodel_materials_ue5 to unpack NINJA GAIDEN 2 Black, but I found that some animations don't seem to display correctly (in some animations, the game characters remain completely still). Could someone help me take a look? I would really appreciate it if you could.
If there are any issues with this translation, please let me know. :'(

@805557409: Like explained above, animations is one of confusing parts of this game. In your example everything is correct, this animation contains only static pose for all frames. You can guess if an animation is more than some static stuff by asset size, something smaller than 10KB most likely would be static or additive.

How can I check the size of the animation files? As shown in the picture, this animation has 295 frames. Based on my experience, it should contain quite a few poses.

@805557409: If you've already performed scan (or animations search via Ctrl+A, which is basically full scan), you can switch to flat view mode and sort assets by required type and optionally use name filter. It's also recommended way to work with them, as that allows to append only selected animations (for example only for particular character) in case of retargeting instead of adding/exporting all compatible animations at once.
As for why some animations look strange (many frames, but without movement), it's rather game specifics. It's not a native UE game, but some kind of a port of original game to UE with workarounds, conversions, duplicates with unknown purposes (like afterimage meshes) and many other non-standard things. Even though some things are not parsed or not supported in UE5 build, like additive animations or referenced animations, it's not the cause of possible animation issues here.
