Game: Palworld https://store.steampowered.com/app/1623730/Palworld/
Unreal Engine: 5.1.1 (according to the Shipping.exe)
Key: Unencrypted

Hi there,

Been trying to open textures in PalWorld with the latest version of UMod from this topic but getting errors during viewing or extracting. Tried disabling materials etc but still can't seem to get it to work. Any ideas?

There shouldn't be issues with the mentioned build, if correct engine is selected (5.1 for current game version). The problem can be caused by server files, which doesn't contain actual graphics, but may be recognized by umodel. To avoid issues make sure that server files wouldn't be included in umodel's scope - for example, open folder with client packages directly ("Paks" folder).

I'm sure it's something that I'm doing wrong, but I'm encountering a critical error when trying to extract anything from the .pak

@JacobMK72: You need to use UE5 umodel build from the topic, linked in the first post. Just read it carefully to avoid possible issues.

@JacobMK72: You didn't select correct engine version, which is 5.1 for current game version.

Hi.

With latest file 0.1.5.1 materials doesn't work.

When I select " material" in the menu and try to open files I got this error.

When I disable "material" in the menu, the models open fine however untextured

How were you able to open the model textured?

@Drawing: Apparently it's due to the reason, explained in the second post, as I couldn't reproduce this error with latest game version. Also, your build is outdated, I'd recommend to always check for an update before reporting issues for previously working games.

@Junsoo: It's not like the first time you're using specific UE5 build. Next time consider re-reading linked topics as well as some tutorials, if you forgot something about general usage or build specific limitations.
If you're a newcomer, check this post before launching the build.

Do you happen to have an animation with the model
Psk, Psa and put it in a blender
I can't extract the animation in the process of extracting with fbx, do you know why..?

@Junsoo: I don't quite understand what do you mean. If you can't load animation to a mesh, it's either not compatible with the skeleton or retargeted via different one. In latest specific build (actually starting from around fix150), you can perform animation scan with Ctrl+A to find all compatible animations - if there are none, most likely it's retargeting (brief explanation is provided in this topic). Aside from that, there shouldn't be much issues - for this game export would be around the same as preview in the viewer. As for the usage of third party tools like blender, it's better to address related questions to respective communities.
